Anti-Bullying Unity Day
October 22nd

All students and staff wear orange to show we are united against bullying



Storybook Pumpkin Patch

Students may begin bringing their pumpkins on Wednesday, October 22nd Remember your pumpkin can be decorated as your favorite storybook character. Please do not poke or cut holes in your pumpkin. 



4th Grade Choir Performance
Oct. 27th 6:00 pm

Come check out a Multicultural Music Performance from our 4th graders. PTO will be providing refreshments after the performance.  



Red Ribbon Week Activities

Monday, Oct. 27 – “Hats Off to Being Drug Free” - Wear Hats
Tuesday, Oct. 28th – “I can’t hide my Hornet pride” – Wear camo
Wednesday, Oct. 29th – “I mustache you to be drug free” – Wear red & a mustache
Thursday, Oct. 30th – “Be a superhero, drugs will make you a zero” – Wear super hero costumes, t-shirts, etc.



Parent/Teacher Conference Day
October 31st

Please look for a note coming home with your scheduled time. Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns about this day.

Book Fair Events

All For Books Coin and Dollar Drives:
*Zip-locs for Donation Bags are due back Oct. 30th

*Coin-a-day Challenge:

Monday, Oct. 27th – Bring pennies
Tuesday, Oct. 28th – Bring nickels
Wednesday, Oct. 29th – Bring dimes
Thursday, Oct. 30th – Bring quarters

All money collected will be used to buy books for kids in need at SJE. The goal this year is to be able to purchase as many books as we can for students who cannot afford a book. Wouldn't it be neat if every child at SJE could go home with a book from the Book Fair?

Parents bring your child to be the first to be able to shop, Friday, Oct. 31st on Parent/Teacher Conference Day. Enter your child’s name into the drawing for a free book. Drop some spare change into our All For Books collection box to help the students of SJE give back to each other.
